• on the base 3-door version XA10 volume is only 176 liters, to transport bulky cargo you must remove the rear sofa, not equipped with a folding mechanism;

• the 5-door version with extended wheelbase has a trunk volume of 407 liters, the spare wheel is located on the outer part of the door;

• After the restyling in 1997, the capacity is 173 and 409 liters, respectively (the spare tire is left outside the door, the mechanism of folding the seat is not provided);

* In Soft Top model with a folding roof and 3 doors the capacity was kept at the level of 173 liters.

Additional plastic trunk with streamlined contours allowed to carry bags or suitcases and had a capacity of up to 500 liters.

SECOND GEN (2000-2005)

The base 3-door XA20 had a luggage compartment with a capacity of only 150 liters. The 5-door version has increased volume to 410 liters. When the seat is folded down, the figure was up to 766 liters. In 2003, the interior and exterior renovations had no effect on the size of the vehicle, size and configuration of the trunk (the spare tire in a trunk remained in the stern of the vehicle).

All crossovers were equipped with 5 doors. The spare tire was located in a special niche in the hinged door of the trunk and closed with a plastic cover, painted in the body color.

The trunk had a capacity of 586 liters, and when the rear sofa was folded down the figure increased to 1,752 liters.

The backrests formed a flat floor, allowing large cargo items to be stowed. There are small niches to store 4-5 liter canisters or small tools. After restyling in 2008, the trunk capacity dropped to 410 liters (with the same dimensions of the interior and body), but with the folded back sofa capacity remained at the same level (1752 liters). After the second upgrade in 2010, the spare wheel was moved under the trunk floor.

All-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive versions were available. Transmission scheme did not affect the layout and capacity of the cabin and luggage compartment. Storage compartment had a capacity of 506 liters and was equipped with a security curtain. When the rear seats were folded down, it could carry up to 238 gallons. A flat floor allowed to securely fasten a large load. Plastic sheeting with hemispherical projections of rear wheel arches limited cargo volume.

The claimed trunk capacity for the U.S. is 1087 liters, and with the folded seats the parameter reaches 2078 liters. The spare tire on all XA40s is located under the raised floor panel. There is a foam organizer with storage compartments for tools and additional equipment.

FIFTH GEN

The spare tire is located under the trunk floor, and the capacity of the compartment on the XA50 SUV is 580 liters. There are additional niches in the trim to store small items or canisters with oil or water. The rear row of seats is equipped with a backrest, which is folded in proportion of 40:60 or fully, bringing the capacity to 1690 liters. When the seats are folded, the protection is removed.

When the backrests are folded down, the capacity reaches 1,650 litres. The use of a hybrid power unit with an extra battery does not affect the capacity. The American version is claimed to have 1062 and 1977 liters capacity, respectively (the body has the same dimensions as the Russian or Japanese models).
