Engines installed on the Toyota Rav 4
The Toyota RAV 4 first appeared on the world market in 1994. But at first the novelty did not impress the automotive public. Visitors of the Los Angeles Motor Show, held in November 2012, could see the presentation of the next-generation RAV4. The car of the fourth generation became wider by 30 mm, but somewhat shorter (55 mm) and lower (15 mm). This changed the design in the direction of dynamism. The base engine remains the old one - 150-horsepower 2-liter gasoline unit (marking 3ZR-FE). But now it is possible to complete the car with a 2.5-liter engine with 180 hp (2AR-FE gasoline), and also with a diesel engine with 150 hp (2AD-FTV).
