FOB vs CIF: what is included?
Under FOB (Free On Board), the price covers the vehicle delivered on board the ship at the Chinese port. You pay freight and insurance from there. Under CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight), the supplier also pays freight and minimum insurance to your destination port. In both cases, the buyer pays import duty and destination costs.
Both terms are defined by the International Chamber of Commerce in the Incoterms® 2020 rules, which set out who pays for and bears the risk of each stage of delivery.

Which factors change the vehicle price?
- Model year and condition: a new 2026 RAV4 costs more than a used 2023 or 2024 unit.
- Trim: hybrid, AWD and upper trims cost more than entry petrol FWD.
