When you buy such RAV4, you should look for its traces very carefully. Let's add here too soft windshield and muddy headlights - and here we can stop with body problems.
Interior .
Here they often notice the uncomfortable seats, especially for tall passengers, cheap creaking and cracking plastic, and bad noise insulation. Therefore, quite often at secondary market it is possible to see examples with already "finished sound insulation".
In addition, as time goes by, the radiator of RAV4 gets clogged, door locks and control buttons get loosened, and the steering wheel gets rusted off. And multimedia initially, alas, does not impress with quality.
Suspension
It is a little bit rigid which can be considered as a lack, but it is very endurable. It doesn't like lack of roads, but it goes well on a dirt track. For the first 100 thousand km can knock the rack and bushing stabilizer, replacement of which costs a penny.
After 150,000 km, most likely it will be the turn of ball joints, shock absorbers, front arms, as well as hub bearings. But these are all "consumables", there are no other claims to the suspension of the Toyota RAV4.
Transmission

All disadvantages listed above can not be called serious. They can be easily eliminated, and spare parts are inexpensive. So the crossover with 2.0 and 2.4-liter engines is clearly worth its money.
